Turning Pointe Music & Dance will be having open auditions of Friday, January 29th for their 45- minute ballet production of Coppelia. We will be casting for company, soloist & principal roles. All students cast must attend Dress Rehearsal & Final Performance Dates of June 8th & 9th. Choreography for all principal & soloist roles will be on Friday’s between 5-7:00. Corps de Ballet will rehearse Wednesday’s between 5:00 -7:00 (depending on scene & part). There will be some combined rehearsals on select Saturday’s between 9-12. Rehearsals begin February 1st. All Non-Studio Members who wish to participate will pay a production fee of $300 which includes costume rental.
PLEASE BRING A LIST OF ALL CONFLICTS BETWEEN FEBRUARY 1st – JUNE 9th TO THE AUDITION!!!!
* Please note that if you have a conflict with a rehearsal date that occurs after the rehearsal schedule is put out…Turning Pointe reserves the right to give your part to another student.
Dr. Coppelius: An inventor; “mad scientist” type.
Franz: A village boy
Swanhilda: The village girl (must be on pointe)
Coppelia: a doll crafted by Dr. Coppelius (must be on pointe)
There are many featured parts in this ballet. Even if you are unable to do the requirements for Principal or Soloist please consider auditioning for the other roles or to understudy a lead part.
